Why was child support taken out of my benefit payment?

We share information with the Division of Child Support (DCS). If DCS notifies us that you have a child support obligation, we will withhold child support from your benefit payment. We can withhold up to 50% of your benefit payment. DCS sets the amount to withhold for a child support obligation.
